Mark the 21st anniversary of the tragedy of the sinking of the ‘SIEV X’ ship, when 353 asylum seekers were lost at sea trying to reach safety in Australia. Speakers and entertainers will join the crowd to remember those who died. Come along from 12 noon and have a picnic lunch and write a message of remembrance to hang on the memorial poles, with proceedings kicking off at 1pm – location: Western Park, from 12 noon to 2pm, Sunday 23rd October 2022.
