Today, more people than ever have been displaced from their homes and countries by events not under their control. But, instead of a global response based on shared humanity and the human rights of those seeking safety, countries are becoming more hostile. Shamefully, Australia has often led the way in imposing policies that punish and harm those who have come seeking protection.
On 13 April, gather together to show support for fairness, compassion and justice for refugees and people seeking asylum in this country.
