Jane Campion’s debut, Two Friends, depicts an unravelling friendship between two teenage girls. Written by renowned Australian novelist Helen Garner, it’s an absorbing tale of adolescence and friendship, told in reverse.

This event also includes a screening of Campion’s Peel, winner of the 1986 Cannes Palme d’Or for Best Short Film.

Part of Jane Campion – Her Way, a retrospective of films by the Oscar-winning director, presented in association with the Sydney Film Festival and ACMI.
