On Sunday 28 June at 12:30PM, the Reel McCoy Film Group is showing the 2001 Australian thriller/drama "The Bank", starring David Wenham and Anthony LaPaglia. Jim Doyle is a brilliant mathematician who has designed a computer program to predict stock market direction, and is hired by a large bank. The themes include the loss of compassion in banking, genius, greed, corruption, intrigue, imagination, bankruptcy, suicide, court cases, and revenge.

Two leading local community organisations, the Canberra Choral Society and National Capital Orchestra, are combining to present 'Carmina Burana', a concert that brings to life the power, passion, and drama of two iconic choral masterpieces: Carl Orff’s 'Carmina Burana' and Francis Poulenc’s 'Gloria'. This exciting musical event is conducted by NCO Artistic Director, Louis Sharpe, with outstanding soloists Rachel Mink (Soprano), Tobias Cole (Tenor), Sitiveni Talei (Baritone) and substantial choral and orchestral forces from the ACT community.

The Conservation Council ACT Region is hosting a second screening of the film On the Edge by Trent Houssenloge on 8th July from 6-8pm.
As Canberra faces a crossroads between urban sprawl and sustainable growth, this documentary explores how our city can develop in harmony with nature. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring the filmmaker and special guests, chaired by Simon Copland.

Of course, he spends more time dancing, singing, and romancing co-stars Leslie Caron and Nina Foch. A gloriously filmed, joyous musical. The film won six Oscars - Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Music, Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, and a special citation for Gene Kelly.
